[Opera] quae extant … accesserunt annotations Samuelis Clarke … 2 volumes, engraved head and tailpieces, decorative initials, with 87 engraved plates of which 62 are doublepage, including an engraved titlepage, portraits of Marlborough and Caesar, maps, battle plans, etc. and 9 doublepage plates after Mantegna by Huybert, contemporary full crimson morocco, covers with gilt filets, spines decorated gilt in compartments, a.e.g., corners a little rubbed and covers with a few minor scratches, small repair to inner margins of the engraved titlepage in vol. 1, tear to the last Mantegna plate very neatly repaired, folio on large paper, London: Tonson, 1712 [2]
