Footnote
Originally purchased from F E Norwood Ltd, in April 1968 for £200. The receipt stating there is a similar amulet appearing in a painting of Sir Daniel Goodright dated 1634 in York Art Gallery, it is also illustrated in the connoisseur book The Stuart Period.
Certainly a rare item for both collectors with an interest in Charles I and collectors of Newcastle silver.
