Footnote
Easter Portsburgh, also known as Potterrow, was situated on the south-eastern outskirts of Edinburgh. It was one half of a burgh of barony, the other part of which Wester Portsburgh lay to the South West of the city. The size of the mull would indicate a communal or group use.
