comprising a continental 18ct gold intaglio ring, possibly Austrian, the carnelian seal of canted rectangular form, carved with crowned shield; an early 19th century gold mounted fob, set with a foil backed engraved intaglio, of shield and motto with unicorn crest; another set citrine carved armorial and motto; another gilt, engraved intaglio with boar's head crest and motto 'Follow Me' and initials CC; a 19th century gold fob, set carved intaglio of and motto of the Earls of Galloway, motto, 'Quhidder will zie'; another small example engraved intaglio with crest and motto for MacDonald; a large gold mounted fob, bold leaf detail to the mount, plain carnelian

Two with Unicorn Crest The Arms of Stewart These armorial bearings in all probability pertain to a cadet branch of the family of Stewart of Appin and Ardsheal in the County of Argyllshire. The cadency mark of a mullet shown at fess point to denote a third son of the family concerned may well have been a temporary or became fixed in the branch concerned
