Description
formed from three discs, the rotating plate to one side engraved with days of the week and inscription to border "Eccemen Sur Abile Sposius Tidie Smeos", chased and engraved with shell and foliate decoration, the other plate engraved in descending pairs to either side of a cut-out sector "Festu/Feyrt", "Sonen/Lauff", "Monat/D'Jahrs", "Tages/Lenges" and "Sone/Aufg", with pierced aperture engraved in descending pairs ""Nachts/Lenge" and "Sone/Untig", engraved with birds and foliate decoration, the central disc engraved one side with numerals 1-31, the other with important festivals, star sign symbols, month of the year etc.
