Adam Graham, marked AG, Glasgow town mark, AG, and to other handle AG, the shallow oval bowl with finely pierced decoration in star and concentric circle motifs, with twin S scroll loop handles

Notes:
While twin handled strainers are not rare in Scottish silver and are found from many geographical locations it is interesting to note they do appear to be somewhat a Glasgow specialty. Of this, the earlier type, and the more elaborate cast and chased examples, a high proportion appear to be by Glasgow makers.
There appears no simple explanation for this however the exotic imports into Glasgow dockyards may have inspired the silversmiths in the area to design and make strainers as exposure to exotic fruits and spirits making the consumption of fruit punches more common in Glasgow and the West
