'Report of Mr Hall of the Egyptian department, British Museum re a scarab owned by Mr McKay Broughty Ferry.
The date of the scarab is about 400bc. It is of Phoenician manufacture, but the pattern is (?) Egyptian.
It has the sign of life under a disc (this on the inside of the brooch). the (?) figures symbolise nothing in particular.
As to the value the British Museum authorities never make pronouncements.
