The picture in this little gold box (No longer present) is of dear Eliza Presley given to me by her ** **.
On the back there is a cross, Luther's **** - The cross is black to ** the pains and sorrows of mankind - on it is laid a pure white rose to symbolise Christ having washed us pure *** white by the sacrifice of himself. *** The ** is a heart to ** That Christ does never work?? the natural affections and **** of mankind
On one of the boards of the book is the name 'JOANNA' as a monogram four *** repeated The other side 'ELIZA' treated the same way - clasped hands connect the two and outside the word 'LOVE' is repeated as a monogram **** **** **** All the monoglas was Eliza's doing. Round the leaves of the book are the words in Latin 'Nothing is difficult to one who loves'
