Footnote
The Arms of the Family of Staunton possibly owned by Harvey Staunton (born after 1630 died 23rd February 1688-89), of Staunton Hall, Staunton in the County of Nottinghamshire. Harvey was the second and eldest surviving son (being one of 13 children of whom 6 died in infancy) born to his parents, Colonel William Staunton (born 1608 died 1656) and Anne Waring, daughter of Edmund Waring, of The Lea, Wolverhampton in the County of Staffordshire. He was married to Anne Cam, the daughter and heiress of George Cam, of Tuxford in the County of Nottinghamshire. Harvey was the last male heir after an uninterrupted succession of some 600 years of the family’s ancestral lands. After his death in his estates were settled upon his four daughters in equal shares.
