Charles Boyton, London 1885, comprising a tea-pot, sugar bowl, cream jug and spoons, each of spherical form to three ball feet in a fitted leater case, with presetentation inscription reading 'Presented to Colonel R V Malden 1st Sind Horse by some of the officers who served under him'; together with a pair of procelaine Sind Horse saucers, an ameture photographic exhibition metal and various military documents relating to Colonel R V Malden (Qty)

Footnote
Colonel R V Malden was a Brighton born officer who served most of his military career in India and was present at many of the major Indian conflicts throughout the latter part of the 1800s.
In 1863 he joined the 1st Sind horse and remained in this regiment until his retirement 23 years later He attained the rank of major in 1877, and was mentioned in dispatches during the Afghan war of 1879 and also won a medal during this campaign. He died on the 20th November 1913.
