the well modelled skull hinged at the jaw bone, enclosing a simple timepiece, enamel dial inscribed Hamlet - (a connection to Shakespeare's Hamlet and Yorick), the case stamped with French control marks, Brevete and numbered 1240 and 7917, engraved to the rear of the skull "qua hora nescis" you never know the hour, cased in fitted box with a key
