Edward Lothian, Edinburgh 1744, Assay Master Hugh Gordon, the deep bellied bowl with everted scalloped rim and wide pouring spout, with chased trailing foliate flower head and shell decorations, with engraved scratch weight to underside of rim '4=14', the S scroll handle with acanthus capped thumb piece and split terminals, raised on three hoof feet with trefoil terminals
