The reverse mark was the Prince of Wales feathers bearing the motto 'Ich Dien' With such a common Scottish name, it is difficult to allocate this mark with ease. It is currently linked to a family who worked as plaid merchants and shawl and muslin manufacturers in Paisley. Less than twenty are recorded with at least nine known to be cancelled
