Burgess RNVR, with NEAR EAST bar, with a modern associated presentation silver armada dish by Asprey 1898, with engraved ship and date 21.10.88 and associated letter; together with a WWI pair to 1-8063 PTE W Noble, R.Scots, with cap badge and 1914 Princess Mary tin: together with WW2 Defence and War medals (qty)

Notes: sold with accompanying letter to RNVR general service medal and armada dish, stating the armada dish was presented to D Burgess who ' so selflessly assisted so many of our young charges safely to evacuate the sinking Jupiter' and also stated he 'returned to the dining room of the stricken and badly listing vessel, to make sure no one was left behind.... and work checking the survivors in the appalling situation was critical to the whole repatriation'
