the hemispherical body rising to a short, slightly flaring neck, incised around the exterior with three archaistic dragon roundels, the glaze of pink strawberry tone mottled with areas of copper-green, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark

Douglas Bland was a prominent artist active mainly in Hong Kong in the second half of the 20th century. Many of his works were exhibited during his life and are currently part of the Hong Kong Museum of Art and City Hall collections.
