gouache on ivory, each finely painted, comprising twenty-three portraits of Mughal Emperors, framed in sets of twelve and eleven, including Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb and two portraits of Mumtaz Mahal, on the back of each frame old labels identifying all the emperors portrayed, glazed and framed
