Footnote
Note: Bulwell Hall in Nottinghamshire was built in 1770. Over its life time it was used as a family home and a school, and it is said that in 1908 a member of the Bulwell Jennison family also wanted to buy it to create a zoo. It was later utilised as an army base during World War II and a prisoner of war camp. After the war, the hall was in a poor state of repair, and as a result it was demolished in 1958.
