Note:
Ruby Winifred Levick studied at the National Art Training School (later Royal College of Art), South Kensington, from about 1893 to 1897. Together with contemporaries Margaret Giles and Gwendolen Williams she went on to enjoy notable success as part of an emerging group of woman sculptors. Her most prolific work 'The Wrestlers' was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1898, receiving a gold medal. She is known to have exhibited at the Society of Medallists, the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society and at The Fine Art Society.
