Note: Lucien Gaillard (French, 1861-1933) was primarily a designer of glass, perfume bottles and jewellery. His career, however, saw him explore various metallurgical procedures such as gold-plating, alloying and patination. His work was often inspired by Japanese craftmanship and the designs of Lalique.
