Footnote
Note: Printed in the 1940s by the Baynard Press in London, the School Prints were originally introduced as a scheme by which artists were commissioned to produce original lithographs depicting a wide variety of themes in modern designs. Printed in large numbers and sold at affordable prices, the scheme was introduced as a means for subscribing schools to acquire collections of artworks for children to have the opportunity to engage with and enjoy original works of art.
