Footnote
Discosauriscus was a small, extinct tetrapod that lived during the Early Permian, approximately 290 million years ago in what is now Central Europe. Its remains are known from freshwater lake deposits and include skulls and partial examples to relatively complete skeletons such as the present example. The species predates the earliest known dinosaurs by more than fifty million years, having lived during the Early Permian, long before the emergence of dinosaurs in the Late Triassic.
