Description
painted terracotta, each of ovoid form and sitting on a rounded base, finished in a cream slip with umber pigment, decorated with bands and cross-hatching possibly evoking textile wrapping; twin strap handles rise to a trumpet-shaped neck with a wide rim, the larger example with a pronounced collar below; each vessel further detailed with a small applied animal head (2)
