Footnote
Sourced from Nevada’s Triassic deposits, formed when this region lay within the supercontinent of Pangaea, this fossil wood evokes a landscape very different from today’s arid basins. During the Triassic, Nevada was warmer and often seasonally wet, with conifer forests and river systems stretching across broad lowlands. Over immense spans of time, fallen timber was buried, mineralised, and transformed into stone, preserving the fine structure of its grain.
