painted terracotta, hand modelled, a fine papades idol, standing on an oval base, the contours of the flattened body hidden by the garment, the face with archaic features, large eyes outlined in black, red cheeks, a wide, smiling red mouth, and long black painted hair falling down to the shoulders, raised on a bespoke mount, marked with an old inventory number reading “166”
