Note: Originally built in Laurvig in 1880, as a wood Brigantine weighing 302 tons. This model may have been built from plans supplied by Harold Underhill. His well-known two volume work, 'Plank-on-Frame Models' was published in 1960 and shows details on how the full size ships were built. The models followed these working methods as closely as possible. In the Royal Museum in Greenwich is a model of the 'Leon' by Underhill himself, made in 1950, which shows the framing in progress.
