Note: Jean-Louis-Benjamin Gros was recorded as an ébéniste and marqueteur at 27 rue des Blancs-Manteaux until 1850 and then at 43 rue des Tournelles. He was principal cabinet-maker for the highly regarded atelier of Charles-Guillaume Winckelsen. Gros and his son Aristide-Henry, also a cabinet-maker, exhibited at the major 19th century Exhibitions Universelle, winning a Mention Honorable in 1855. Aristide-Henry took over the business following his father's retirement in 1863.
