the caddy top cornice above an 11 3/4in. brass dial with silvered chapter with Roman and Arabic numbers, pierced brass spandrels, date aperture, and subsidiary seconds dial, signed 'Jaspar Taylor, in Grey's Inn', flanked by corner columns, above a long trunk door with a lenticle, on a plinth and platform base, with seaweed marquetry throughout; the eight day movement striking a bell
