the painted blue and gilt porcelain dial with Roman numeral cartouches, signed ‘Marshall & Sons, Paris’, the case surmounted by an urn painted with a landscape, the dial flanked by two winged griffin corbels, on a rectangular base raised on paw feet, the back stamped ‘10 P.H.Mourey 7’ for Phillipe H Mourey, the twin train barrel movement striking on a ball, on a gilt wood stand, further mounted within a glass dome on an ebonised base
