worked in coloured silk on linen, finely stitched in four bands with flowerpots, baskets, birds, trees, dogs, insects, and a verse “See how The lilies Flourish White and Fair …”, signed at the bottom “Elizabeth Morris Her Work Jan' 26”, in a meandering flower border, double framed with a hand-written genealogical record on the reverse
