Description
the gilt break arch dial with silver chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, signed ‘H.L. Brown, Sheffield’, the arch with subsidiary ‘Slow/Fast’ and Chime/Silent’ dials, the large caddy topped arched case surmounted with an urn and flanked by flaming urn finials, the front dial flanked by caryatid appliques, the sides with pierced Rococo style gilt brass grills, on cast claw and scroll bracket feet, the triple train movement striking the hour on a large coiled blued steel gong, striking the quarters on a pin wheel activated nest of four coiled blued steel gongs
