the arched moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing a shelved interior, with a pair of candle slides below; the base with a slope front opening to an interior fitted with a central cupboard flanked by short drawers, over three long serpentine drawers flanked by canted angles headed by carved acanthus and raised on foliate carved bracket feet; the whole covered in strapwork, bird, and flower marquetry; with an old paper inventory tag '#87 Mawley Hall'
