painted to the centre with a coat of arms featuring a cockerel facing dexter, the crest surmounted with a helmet surmounted with a further cockerel, surrounded with gilt and black scrolling plumage, inscribed with the date 1602 and the name Michael Janewkamp, on a brown canvas ground applied with trimmings in gilt and black and a tasselled edge, on a brass hanging pole, the reverse lined with striped and floral fabric
