the brass breakarch dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, the matted centre with a subsidiary seconds dial, pierced gilt mask spandrels, the arch with a silvered ‘Chime/Silent’ dial flanked by pierced dolphins, the moulded flat caddy top with dentine frieze supported by fan roundel corbels, the glazed door flanked by brass stop fluted free columns with brass Doric capitals, the rectangular trunk door with strung oval and a square panelled plinth base with bracket feet, the three train weight driven movement striking on a gong and chiming to a nest of four gongs
