the arched moulded centre cornice above a glazed door with foliate carving flanked by a pair of arch glazed doors all enclosing shelves; the breakfront lower part with three short frieze drawers over three arch moulded cupboard doors carved with laurel and fluted pilasters, on a conforming plinth base; bearing a stencil maker's stamp ‘JOHN M SIMPSON, CABINET MAKER AND UPHOLSTERER/ CLYDE ST., GLASGOW’
