comprising a bird's egg example by Saunders & Shepherd, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1888, maker's marks CS and Fs, registration number 20772; a cylindrical example, probably French, with white metal gilt metal mounts, the hinged cover opening to a glass stopper, painted en grisaille with a figurative scene on a pink ground, unmarked; a continental example of round, flattened form, enamelled with scenes of courtship within gilt scrolls, the hinged cover opening to a glass stopper, marks indistinct (3)
