watercolour on ivory, on rectangular panel, the sitter with blonde hair, seated wearing a pink dress with gold chain and white lace collar, lace bonnet and black shawl, with a red curtain behind, signed and dated 1840, with a gilt slip mount, behind glass, in a red leather frame, with suspension loop to the top, the miniature 9cm high, 7.5cm wide; together with SIMON JACQUES ROCHARD (FRENCH 1788-1872), SMALL PORTRAIT MINIATURE OF MRS ELIZABETH GIBSON, NEE RYLANCE, oval, the sitter with dark flowing hair and wearing a white slip, with a gilt metal mount, behind glass, in a moulded ebonised frame, with suspension loop, the miniature 3.5cm high, 3cm wide (2)
