the brass square dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, the matted centre with a subsidiary date aperture and signature plate signed ‘Foden, Congleton’, cast scalloped spandrels, the flat moulded caddy top set with a painted glass frieze panel, the glazed door flanked by free columns with turned Doric capitals, the shaped arch trunk door flanked by fluted canted angles, on a plain plinth base with bracket feet, the twin train weight driven movement striking on a bell
