the white enamel Roman numeral dial signed ‘Le Roy & Fils, Hrs du Roi A Paris’, in an architectural case in the form of a bookcase surmounted by two floral wreaths, flanked by the figures of two children reading, on an oval plinth base mounted with floral garlands, raised on bun feet, the twin train movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel striking to a bell, the backplate stamped ‘No. 3254, Le Roy & Fils, Hers Du Roi, A Paris’
