Description
in the manner of L'Escalier de Cristal, Paris (1804-1923), the circular silvered dial with Roman numerals, the egg shaped orange enamelled case with a twisted rope applique to the top and the base with a filigree and agate jewelled finial, held by three engraved and filigree mounted supports united by jewelled silvered and gilt fruiting vine garlands, the circular plinth base similarly mounted and centred by a enamel roundel heightened in gilt, the single barrel timepiece movement housed within the upper section winding from the berry finial to the top, the single wheel musical movement housed in the lower section winding from a key to the side with a screw release
