painted on a large gesso covered wooden panel, mounted in a silvered brass repoussé oklad, the centre depicting the trimorphon, the figure of Christ seated flanked by the Mother of God and John the Baptist, attended below by two saints or apostles, possibly Peter and Paul, inside a geometric border with the corners all with winged figures holding books, including an angel, a dove, a cow and a lamb
