Description
the twenty-four hour 14 inch circular cream and polychrome enamel sector dial with a RAF 'King's Crown' warrant officer's insignia to the centre, red, blue and yellow sector markings, plain circular stained beech case, the single barrel timepiece movement stamped to the backplate ‘Crowned A.M (Air Ministry cypher), Coventy Astral, Smith 1942, Made in England, 123’, the back of the clock stamped with crowned cypher ‘GRVI’ twice and ‘SMITH, 1942’

Provenance
RAF Winfield, located near Paxton, Scottish Borders
Inherited from the current vendors mother, who was born at Winfield Farm. Their family had to move out during the war while the RAF requisitioned the farm and set up the airbase at Winfield. When the family returned to the farm after the war the clock was still in one of the buildings on the property. Retained by the family until being consigned for sale.
