fruitwood inlay throughout in the form of stylised scrolling foliate detail, with boxwood stringing, the hinged cover and fall front opening to a folding Morocco leather writing slope, the fitted interior with pigeonholes, drawers and compartments, with accessories including a writing slate, a note book, a blotter book, a quill and a page tuner; the sides applied with brass carrying handles; the interior gilt stamped Rd. 173363
