Description
both worked in wool on flax, the first with two alphabets, stags, flower bands, birds, flowering baskets, and a house, within a strawberry border, signed ‘Mary Anna Read/ Aged 12 Years 1851’; the other with birds, flower baskets, trees, and urns within a meandering strawberry border, signed in a reserve ‘Mary A Read’ and dated 1854; both in gilt frames under glass (2)
