the breakarch silvered dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, a subsidiary second dial and date aperture to the centre, engraved spandrels, signed ‘Alex Dickie, Edinburgh’, the arch with subsidiary ‘Strike/Silent’ dial, the broken arch pediment centred by a brass ball finial, over a caddy top with fret panels backed in red silk, the door flanked by Doric columns, the trunk with shaped arched door, on a plain square plinth base, the twin train weight driven movement striking to a bell
