the breakarch brass dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, a subsidiary second dial and date aperture to the scrolling foliate engraved centre mask, pierced gilt spandrels, the arch with silvered signature plate, signed ‘Mttw Wyllie, Paisley, 453', flanked by pierced gilt dolphins, the broken swan neck pediment with rosettes, over a parquetry surmounted moulded arch door flanked by free spiralling columns, the trunk with shaped arched door flanked by spiralling quarter columns, on a plain square plinth base with ogee bracket feet, the twin train weight driven movement striking to a bell
