with four-stage steel barrels engraved with designs of foliage along the upper surfaces including the flats of the flared octagonal breech end, the border engraved flat locks each engraved with foliage signed ‘G. Bell, Glasgow', foliate engraved dolphin locks, the all metal stocks with profusely engraved decoration throughout, with traditional foliate scrolls and interlace, the grips with vacant escutcheon, ram's horn butts with thistle finials (one lacking), button triggers, slender plain steel belt hooks, slender steel ramrods
