the 12 inch brass breakarch dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the arch with a blue and gilt enamelled moonphase, signed to the centre ‘James Scott, Leith’ with engraved foliate and scalloped spandrels, the dark varnished case with broken arched pediment surmounted by three brass ball finials, over a plain trunk with breakarch door and plinth base, twin train weight driven movement striking a bell
