the 6.75 inch breakarch brass dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, the matted gilt centre with a mock pendulum and date apertures, pierced gilt mask spandrels, the arch with a silvered signature roundel signed ‘Thos. Blundell, Dublin’, the moulded bell top case surmounted by a brass swing handle, shaped glazed side apertures and rear door, set on gilt bracket feet, the single wire fusee timepiece movement with verge escapement and integral bob pendulum, lacking strike movement, the backplate engraved ‘Thomas Blundell, Dublin’
