Description
the dial with Roman numerals, painted on to a porcelain panel surrounded by a silvered bevelled edge, this and both side panels painted with scenes of peasant girls on woodland paths, the anglaise riche case with angular swing handle, over a tambour frieze and fluted corner columns with Corinthian capitals, on plinth base stamped ‘23239’, the twin train movement with platform level escapement, striking on to a coiled blued steel gong, the backplate also numbered '23239'
