the gilt dial with a white enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, the square case with a relief frieze depicting Cerberus and Orpheus asleep with his lyre, flanked by the figure of Orpheus playing his lyre and musical instruments, the base with a rectangular relief frieze with three roundels centred by a lyre and a swan, on a plinth base with toupie feet, the twin brass movement with silk suspension pendulum striking a bell
